| Tooth whitening is a way of simply changing the colour of the teeth without changing the shape. There are two main methods of whitening teeth : |

Evidence has shown that the use of the laser light is not effective in the whitening process, and we therefore do not use the laser or dental light during this procedure. From our experience we believe the best results are achieved by a combination of surgery whitening and home whitening, ‘Ultra whitening’. |
We will take impressions of your teeth and send them to the laboratory to make some customized trays. At your next appointment usually in 2 or 3 days we will place a high concentration of whitening gel into the trays. The procedure takes approximately 1 to 1 hour 30 minutes. You will then be given a slightly weaker solution to take home and continue the treatment at your convenience. The trays may be worn over night. A pre and post op shade is taken so we can gage effectiveness of the treatment and achieve the smile that will make you smile. |
